FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Are your products natural?
    Although all of our ingredients are natural, we feel that the use of the word ‘natural’ should be reserved for those products which only use essential oils along with natural ingredients. Dirty Soap uses parfum as a scent which can be manufactured, this doesn't mean it is chemical based, it has just been through a process to be formulated, so it just doesn't sit right with us to use the strap line ‘natural’. All potential allergens are listed and are naturally occurring in the scent. Legally we could use the term ‘natural’ as the legal definition of natural is “derived from the earth” but morally we do not believe that this smoke and mirror approach is fair to our customers, and we always want to be as transparent as possible.
  • Do you source ingredients that have been used in animal testing?
    Dirty Soap simply do not source any ingredients from any supplier that tolerates animal testing.
  • What do I do if my order hasn't arrived in the allocated time?
    We are always happy to help if you haven't received your order in the expected time frame, so just email us at info@dirtysoap.co.uk and we will follow up your order with our dispatch agent and give you an update as soon as possible. If you order 1st class, you can expect next day delivery from dispatch, but it can take 2 working days due to demand on Royal Mail. 2nd class you should expect delivery 3-5 working days from point of dispatch, but again this can take up to 7 working days.
  • How do I cancel my subscription?
    Of course we understand that circumstances change in people’s lives, and what suits today might not suit tomorrow, so if this is the case, contact us with your full name and delivery address and we can take care of the cancellation, no fuss, no hassle.
  • How do I alter my choice of soap within my subscription?
    We are working with our website provider to allow ease of editing of your subscription, in the meantime, contact us and let us know what you’d like to change and we will take care of it.
  • Is the company veteran owned?
    Dirty Soap is owned and operated by (with a couple of employees that keep the ship upright!) a former Royal Marines Commando and now full time Royal Navy Physical Training Instructor.
  • Where are you based?
    Dirty Soap is based on the South Coast of England, which aids in our love of the beach and all things ocean based!
  • Do you have a shop?
    Dirty Soap works from a workshop, we do not have a shop, but we can be found at multiple markets along the south coast. We love to see our customers and have them see the team behind the curtain, so if you want to know where we are going to be feel free to contact us.
  • How do rewards work?
    Loyalty is a keyword in our vocabulary, with our loyalty program you will get rewards for being a Dirty Soap customer. For every £1 spent, you will earn 2 reward points and for every 100 points you get a 20% discount code. For more information please take a look at our Dirty Loyalty Program page.
  • How do subscriptions work?
    For ease of delivery, Dirty Soap offers a subscription service. This is a service that allows you to forget about ordering your favorite soap and have it delivered every month. We have a number of subscription services available, but they will ensure that you will pay less than you would for a standard order. Each month, your box will be dispatched after your payment date for that month. So for example, if you started the service on the 14th of the month, your subscription will renew each month on the 14th, and your subscription will be dispatched post payment date. Each box is sent 2nd class via Royal Mail.
